A few more additions to the bookshelf:

Want to create and deploy your own interactive web widgets?

Thought you might. Welcome Sprout Builder to the party.

If you have ever used a design program, heck, if you used Word, you can get the hang of using the sprout interface rather quickly.

Even more interesting is the ability to track traffic on your army of deployed sprouts. Enough talking. More watching. Here is their video:

I came across an interesting article while perusing the latest issue of von magazine.

The piece which interviewed Dave Hersh, CEO of Jive Software, shed some light on what we can expect from enterprise software in the near future. As vendors continue to bundle more tools to their existing platforms, Jive is raising the bar by looking past ’stovepipes’ and incorporating prescence and VOIP into their E2 solution. Clearspace is a definite must see for any organization looking to add blogging, tagging and wikis to their internal communication processes.

clipmarks-logo.jpg I started using clipmarks recently. It’s great.

The difference here is that you can save just the part(s) of the page you want rather than the whole page.

I can see this being especially popular among students keeping track of the information they find as they are researching.

The new Apple iPhone will have multi-touch technology built in. That’s cool.

pipes.jpgCan you say power to the people?

Yahoo Pipes has given us common folk the power to manipulate and mashup our regular feeds so we can produce uberfeeds!

Yahoo describes pipes as:

“an interactive feed aggregator and manipulator. Using Pipes, you can create feeds that are more powerful, useful and relevant.”

With the ability to mashup a ton of tools, the only limitation seems to be your imagination, and of course, the time needed to experiment. Time that is definitely needed to play around in a workspace that initially appears imposing.

In the true spirit of sharing, Yahoo allows you to publish your pipe for all to view, and even clone! You can also subscribe to RSS feeds that flow through your new creation.
